ISA welcomes new Chair for 2023-24

Jeff Shaw, Headmaster of Scarisbrick Hall School, is the new Chair for the rest of the 2023-24 academic year.

Claudette Salmon, Headmistress of Leicester Preparatory School, was elected as Chair for 2023-24 but has decided to step down due to no longer being able to give the role the time it needs. Claudette would like to share the following message with Members:

“Unfortunately, this is a transitional period for me and I am now unable to offer the commitment that this pivotal role for our Association deserves. Like many of us, I have witnessed the impact that previous Chairs have delivered for ISA and it would be a disservice to our Members to continue this role if I cannot serve you all to the fullest. I hope to remain involved in the Association and look forward to catching up with many of you very soon.”

At a meeting held yesterday, Executive Council followed the process set out in our Articles of Association and voted for Jeff Shaw to fill the vacancy in the Chair.

Jeff Shaw, who was also Chair of the Association in 2020-21, looks forward to the opportunity to represent our Members once more:

“I am delighted to be able to serve the ISA this year and look forward to representing our wonderful Association. ISA is in an incredibly strong position with an experienced Executive Council and brilliant staff at head office. I look forward to working with friends and colleagues throughout this year.”
