Fashion, Architecture & Literature on the horizon as Bournemouth Collegiate School pupils land fantastic A Level results
The class of 2022 at Bournemouth Collegiate School starred in their first taste of public examinations with students now moving onto an array of exciting pathways.
The senior school at Bournemouth Collegiate, set in the beautiful coastal area of Southbourne, is co-educational and welcomes students from the age of 11.
83% of the school’s students who studied A Levels or BTECs achieved an A*- C grade, with 78% actually earning at least one A*, A or B grade, marking brilliant results across the board.
Lorena was just one of the school’s success stories, landing A*s in Photography and Textiles, as well as an A in Art. James too comes away from Bournemouth shining with an A* in Art, A in Geography, C in Maths and B in EPQ.
Textiles at A Level was just the first step for Lorena, who will now study Fashion Couture at the London College of Fashion.
James is thankful for all that the team at Bournemouth Collegiate School have done to prepare the students and will continue his journey at Manchester University to study Architecture.
“I’m absolutely over the moon with my results! The school did a really good job of preparing us, I’m so happy for everyone and I’m very pleased with my outcome.”
English Literature at Cardiff University beckons for Elizabeth, who will enjoy a gap year before continuing her studies.
Headmaster, Russel Slatford, could not be ‘prouder’ of the students, who have made a ‘positive difference’ across the wider school community as well as starring academically:
“I could not be prouder of our students who are getting their results today. They have had such an uncertain journey over the last few years and their commitment and resilience are second to none.
“The results they have achieved are outstanding and show that hard work in the face of adversity really does pay off.
“They have led BCS with composure and modesty, making a positive difference academically and across the wider life of the school community. Wherever their journey continues we know they will shine brightly as alumni of BCS and role models to many. Good luck.”
