Programme Outline

9.30 am        Introductions & Welcome

9.40 am        Session One  : SMARTER Goal Setting
 

  • Learn to make your goals SMARTER
     
  • Recognise the value of applying Towards Thinking and language for motivation
     
  • Harness the power of creative visualisation
     
  • Use a proven technique to ensure successful achievement of your personal and professional goals

    The outcome for this session is for attendees to be able to set and achieve SMARTER goals through the use of Towards thinking and language, creative visualisation and by following a step-by-step proven technique. Attendees will be provided with a Template for completion during this session and for use in future goal setting.
     

11.00 am       Tea/coffee/comfort break

11.15 am       Session 2 : “All change please”
 

  • This “All Change Please” session is based on an archive 🍏Lunch n Learn with Lindsay🍏 issue here.  
     
  • “Walk” through “The Change House”, identifying the emotions you and your colleagues are likely to experience during change, including a change of leadership/Headship.
     
  • Learn how to support yourself and others through change so you can transition  to the ultimate “integration” room. 
     
  • Recognise that the word CHANGE is contained within the word CHALLENGE and that there is no change without challenge.
     
  • Be aware that CHANGE is the only constant and with CHANGE comes OPPORTUNITY.
     
  • Appreciate that “every expert was once a beginner” and leverage The Learning Ladder as a basis for all new learning

    The outcome for this session is for attendees to understand the range of emotions they will experience during times of change is human nature and that they can employ strategies to help themselves and others transition to the “integration room”.  They will understand that with change comes opportunity and that when they are learning something new they will be working their way up the learning ladder.

12.30 pm      Lunch break

1.00 pm        Session 3 : Tailoring your Communication
 

  • Recognise your own and others communication styles
  • Identify how best to communicate with different styles

The outcome of this fun and thought-provoking session is to understand the value of tailoring your communication to create and maintain the best working relationships.  You will be introduced to Carl Jung’s communication styles and relate this to Nigel Risner’s “It’s a Zoo around here” analogy.
