[Update: This course will cover the recently published new draft RSHE guidance and what this might mean for schools]

Many schools work hard to implement a comprehensive well-being program that meets the statutory requirements for Health Education and Relationships and Sex education. Delivering this content in an age-appropriate way, and in a manner in which young people can take their learning and apply it effectively to their own lives can be challenging. This training aims to explore a different approach to PSHE/Health Education/RSE with the self-awareness, self-worth, and emotional intelligence of young people at its heart.

Aims of the course:

  • Explore developments in understanding of neuroscience and adolescent brain development in order to help students understand and get the best out of their cognitive function.
  • How improving self-worth can have a wider impact on aspiration and academic achievement.
  • How to meet RSHE statutory requirements creatively, effectively and safely.
  • How to implement these aspects into classroom practice and a whole school philosophy.
