During the day, delegates will consider the recent changes in maths education and how they may impact their own practice. Delegates will also explore the term "numbersense" and why this is so important.

Liz is an experienced classroom teacher, subject leader, local, national and international adviser. She has nearly 20 years of full time teaching experience in the classroom and has taught children from the ages of 4 to 13 years.
Since 2001, Liz has worked as a part time subject leader/teacher in local schools, a maths consultant for Suffolk LA, a regional director for the National Strategies and since 2011, she has been a full time independent national and international primary maths consultant working chiefly in Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
Liz works directly with schools with senior leaders, teaching classes, supporting teachers and training. She also delivers primary mathematics training across the UK and in Asia.
As a member of the General Council of the ATM (2014 -16), a professional organisation for mathematics teachers, Liz took an active role in promoting the ATM branches in the UK and overseas.
A published author of Numicon (Geometry Statistics and Measures – Years 1 to 4) and teaching materials for Cosy Direct, she is currently working on other writing projects, including self publishing and her website, www.thebusylizzie.co.uk where you can find many teaching and learning documents.
