Course outline
Safeguarding leads and particularly designated and deputy designated safeguarding leads in schools should undergo refresher training to provide them with the knowledge and skills required to carry out their role.
This one-day Sacpa certificate programme has been developed at intermediate level on the Sacpa academy CPD offer and delivers the required learning outcomes detailed in annex C of Keeping Children Safe in Education 2022. Topic areas and practice examples include statutory requirements for education professionals in England, but also incorporate international, third sector, and private sector examples where relevant to delegates taking part.
The design of the programme includes a range of teaching methods and encourages case study application of themes and topics covered including an additional focus on self-care in the role.
